Brigada PDT is printed on a web offset press, using a 4-color (cyan, magenta, yellow, black) halftone separation process. For full page and spread, text should be no closer than 0.25″ to the edge of the cut page (not the bleed). Improperly sized material may be altered at Brigada PDT’s discretion. Brigada PDT only accepts digital files for direct-to-plate output. We no longer accept film.

We strongly prefer Adobe InDesign files (must include all necessary fonts; must also include graphics/logos/pictures in TIFF or EPS format at sufficient resolution). We will also accept Illustrator EPS or PDF files.

When supplying photographic material for design purposes, digital images should be at least 300 dpi at 100%. All copy for typesetting can be e-mailed to the New York office. PDF proofs will be e-mailed for approval. Brigada PDT does not supply color proofs. Brigada PDT is not responsible for incorrect text knockout and overprint settings in files supplied by advertisers.

Brigada PDT is printed in CMYK color. We use the Pantone process-color simulator to convert PMS colors to process colors. Brigada PDT is not responsible for any change of color due to conversion. Additional colors such as metallics and fluorescents are available at Brigada PDT’s discretion for full-page ads. The charge for additional colors is $900. All images other than 4-color must be supplied in b&w. All full-bleed grays are prone to streaking.

Brigada PDT can only guarantee color matching when a color proof is provided to the following digital dot proofs: PolaProof, Kodak Approval, Fuji Final Proof. Brigada PDT will not assume responsibility for color matching to any other type of proof. A digital dot proof is not required for black-and-white ads. Original art will be accepted only at customer’s risk.

Brigada PDT reserves the right to decline any advertisement. In the event of an error, Brigada PDT’s liability shall not exceed the cost of the space occupied by the error. The publisher is not liable for delays in delivery, for nondelivery, or for any condition affecting production or delivery in any manner. Brigada PDT is not responsible for any color matching discrepencies in the absence of a color proof.
